It's begun again! Egads! RP from the other night, the grand return to Pern. They are mid-plot now, so I just sort of slid myself into it.

I have been reading DF logs all day long, first when I was tagging LiveJournal entries, and then when I was exploring the depths of my files.
I have now gotten all sorts of nostalgic and I'm desperately missing my characters. Especially Erika. She's my current golden child. I hope that she'll continue soon, in some form. Her arc was very promising. I miss Ramon and D'vin and R'sin and Lucius, too.
I think I may take a few of those logs and backdate them into the LJ archives. It'll be nice to have them.

If only it would stop raining! Jaye and I will be rowing the Prius through the mountains at this rate.
In any case, we are Getting The Heck Out Of Here for the weekend, starting immediately after work. If anybody wants to know where we are, I'll have my phone on me. I'll even try to remember to pack the charger for it.
We're hoping for breaks in the clouds and breaks in traffic on our way north. We'll see how that works out. Expect lots of pictures. (I hope.)

Also on the escape list, tomorrow is my last day at the current job. I start my hours with the Seminary on Tuesday.

I've got a few feelers extended for paying work, but anything anybody wants to send me to help with the search would be appreciated.

Also, I have been feeling creative again, so there may be writing, drawing, sewing, or even all three in my future! Hopefully there will finally be furniture moving, and acquisition of table/desk/working surface of some sort.
And my stories and my MOO characters are all channeling my two main influences at the moment: Terry Pratchett and Firefly. Erika is seriously becoming more Kaylee-esque every day.
